NEET PG Counselling 2021 Live: After a delay of over two months, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has started the registration process for NEET PG counselling today, January 12. Candidates can register on mcc.nic.in. The counselling process for 50 per cent all India quota seats will be conducted in four rounds. Candidates will have to use the same email ID and mobile number provided in the exam application form on the NBE website during the MCC counselling process. After registration, they will have to choose their preferred medical colleges and lock the choices. For round 1, this facility will be available from January 13 to 17.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Wednesday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to "favourably consider" the State’s request for exemption from NEET for students’ admission to medical colleges. 
Making a fervent appeal when the Prime Minister virtually launched 11 new government medical colleges in the State, Stalin said, "admission policy of Tamil Nadu plays an important role in our health infrastructure and to protect this, we have been continuously demanding exemption to Tamil Nadu from NEET. I appeal to the Union Government to consider our request favourably."

The Rajasthan High Court on Tuesday asked the National Testing Agency to allot a seat in an appropriate medical college to a Pakistani immigrant who has cleared NEET but was denied admission for the want of a Long Term Visa from the country of his origin. Justice Dinesh Mehta of the Jodhpur bench of the high court asked NTA, the country’s premier body mandated to hold competitive examinations for admissions to various higher educational institutions including those of engineering and medical, on a plea by Pakistani immigrant Sandeep Kumar.

Category-wise cut-offs for NEET PG counselling 2021: 
Candidates can check previous year's allotment results based on ranks which are available on the MCC website — mcc.nic.in. This can give an idea about the medical college a candidate is likely to get.  
Candidates can fill as many choices as they wish. "However, choices should be in order of preference, as the allotment is done on the basis of choices submitted by the qualified candidate in order of preference given by the candidate and as per availability," the MCC said.
After NEET PG, the MCC is expected to begin the all India quota counselling process for NEET UG 2021. The information bulletin will be released at mcc.nic.in.

Scheduled Caste (SC) – 15 per cent
Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 7.5 per cent
Other Backward Classes (OBC) – (Non-Creamy Layer) as per the Central OBC list – 27 per cent
Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) – as per Central Government norms – 10 per cent
Persons with Disabilities (PwD) – Horizontal Reservation as per National Medical Commission (NMC) norms – 5 per cent.

Following the round 1 result, the registration process for round 2 seat allotment will be conducted from February 3 to 7 and round 3 from February 24 to 28.
For AIQ seats, central university, ESIC and DNB seats: Rs 1,000 for unreserved and EWs candidates and Rs 500 for SC, ST, OBC and PwD candidates. 
For deemed universities: Rs 5,000.
According to the NEET PG Counselling 2021 dates, the PG round 1 counselling process will start from today, January 12, and will be concluded on January 17. After registration, candidates have to select and confirm the colleges till January 17 from the list of available options. The verification of candidates will be done by institutes from January 18 to 19, 2022. The seat allotment process will be conducted till January 21, and the round 1 seat allotment result will be declared on January 22. 
Unlike previous years, the stray vacancy round for the 2021-22 academic session, will be held online and will be conducted by MCC of DGHS, MoHFW for Central University, institutes, All India Quota, or DNB seats. Earlier, it was offline and was conducted by the respective Central University, or the participating institutes.
MCC NEET PG Counselling 2021: Unfilled Non-residential Indian (NRI) or Muslim minority or Jain minority seats, according to the new changes in the NEET PG counselling process, will be converted to Indian National seats after exhaustion of all the eligible NRI or Muslim minority or Jain minority candidates during the mop-up round before reverting it back to the respective Deemed University.
Candidates will be asked to fill some information submitted while registering for the exam on the NBE website during the counselling process as well. 
"Please note that you will be asked to fill some of the information (we are not showing it here for security reasons) that you have given in your application form of NBE, admit card of examination during online registration and provided by the examination conducting agency (NBE). Therefore, keep a copy of your application form and admit card ready for reference. These documents may be retained as they may be required till you complete your PG course,” according to the NEET PG counselling information bulletin.
The MCC will also conduct NEET PG stray vacancy round counselling for central universities and Institutes, all India quota and DNB seats online. Earlier, this round was offline and conducted at the institutes
This will be the reservation scheme for NEET PG counselling 2021-
SC: 15 per cent
ST: 7.5 per cent
OBC(Non-Creamy Layer) as per the Central OBC list: 27 per cent
EWS: 10 per cent
PwD- horizontal reservation as per NMC norms: 5 per cent
The Federation of Resident Doctors' Association (FORDA) has requested the Medical Counselling Committee to begin the NEET UG counselling process at the earliest.

NEET 2021 counselling will have four rounds and seats will not revert to states after completion of round 2 of the all India quota. Earlier, there were only two rounds of AIQ NEET counselling, except for central institutions, and seats reverted to the states after round 2 of AIQ.

Registration and fee payment window: January 12 to January 17.
Filling and locking of choices: January 13 to 17. 
Seat allotment results: January 22.
Reporting for admission: January 23 to 28.
